Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, the Sales Representative will be responsible for overseeing and driving sales growth. The role includes identifying clients, managing client relationships, and implementing strategies to meet and exceed sales targets. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market share, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Implementation

    • Develop and execute sales plans in line with the company’s overall business objectives.

    • Coordinate with management to align campaigns with sales strategies, ensuring brand consistency.

    • Participate in setting and meeting targets for lead generation, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

  • Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to encourage repeat business and referrals.

    • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving issues.

    • Implement customer loyalty programs or special promotions to enhance client engagement.

  • Sales Operations and Performance Monitoring

    • Oversee daily sales operations, including planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics such as revenue, market share, and customer acquisition.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales pipelines.

    • Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and propose improvements.

  • Market Analysis and Business Development

    • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

    • Analyze competitor pricing and strategies to ensure competitive positioning.

    • Identify and pursue new sales and business opportunities to expand the company’s market presence.

    • Prepare and pitch proposals to attract new business and increase the client base.

  • Event Coordination

    • Organize and participate in promotional events, trade shows, and exhibitions.

    • Represent the company professionally in all external engagements.

    • Manage post-event follow-up activities to convert leads into sales.

  • Reporting and Communication

    • Prepare and present regular and ad-hoc sales reports detailing activities, performance metrics, and revenue.

    • Offer insights on customer feedback, sales trends, and market opportunities to management.

    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams—management, operations, and finance.

    • Use data to forecast future sales, set targets, and refine strategies.

    • Share insights and feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a related field (Bachelor’s Degree is desirable).

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales within the textile industry (mandatory).

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Flexibility to travel and work across Kenya at short notice.
