On behalf of Mini Bakeries Limited, a leading FMCG baking manufacturer under the Mini Group of Companies, we are seeking to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to support day-to-day human resource operations at our Mombasa office. This role offers hands-on exposure to core HR functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Eleven Degrees Consulting Limited provides HR shared services to Mini Group companies, supporting operational excellence, compliance, and people development across the organisation.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior HR Officer / HR Officer, the HR Intern will support recruitment coordination, onboarding, HR administration, employee engagement activities, and training support. The role is ideal for a proactive individual looking to gain practical HR experience and build a strong foundation in Human Resource Management.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
a) Recruitment Support
- Coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Assist with interview scheduling and candidate follow-ups.
b) Onboarding & Documentation
- Assist in preparing onboarding and induction materials.
- Collect, verify, and file employee documents.
- Update and maintain accurate employee records and files.
c) HR Operations
- Update HR trackers, attendance records, and muster rolls.
- Respond to employee inquiries on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Support payroll preparation by providing accurate attendance, leave, and staff movement data.
d) Learning & Development Support
- Assist in coordinating training sessions and maintaining training records.
- Support monitoring of performance evaluation cycles.
e) General HR Support
- Provide administrative support to the HR team.
- Perform any other HR-related duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Pursuing a Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of HR processes is an added advantage.
