On behalf of Mini Bakeries Mombasa, we invite eligible internal team members to apply for the position of Market Developer. The role will support distribution operations, enhance product availability, and drive market growth across assigned regions. This position is critical in strengthening distributor relationships, improving supply chain efficiency, and expanding product presence within key retail outlets.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Market Developer will be responsible for managing distributor relationships, monitoring supply chain performance, ensuring product availability, and providing actionable market and sales insights. The role also involves overseeing order processes, supporting timely deliveries, and identifying opportunities for market expansion.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

a) Distributor & Vendor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with distributors and vendors
  • Ensure distributor compliance with company policies and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Address operational challenges and support consistent product availability in the market

b) Sales & Market Development

  • Monitor stock levels across retail outlets
  • Coordinate with distributors to ensure timely ordering and delivery of products
  • Identify new market opportunities and support sales growth initiatives

c) Order Management & Reporting

  • Verify and oversee orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Track order patterns and report performance to the Regional Sales Manager
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on distributor sales, order fulfillment, and market trends

d) Competitor & Market Analysis

  • Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and market activities
  • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to inform sales strategies

Qualifications & Experience

  • O-Level certificate or equivalent
  • Age bracket: 20 – 35 years
  • Basic experience in sales, marketing, or business development
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned region
